Follower of Rorak, he will show mercy to none.
BAERN’S JOURNAL: ENTRY 1
“I have finally left the cave I have lived in my entire life. I had no idea that I have been living in a coffin all this time while this magnificent world has been thriving above me. Why live inside of my tomb and wait for death while this world calls to me, begging me to live?
I had no idea that the light against my skin would feel like this. It’s… Invigorating. Just to see the sky above me and the vastness of all directions, I wish to weep. All I have ever known are walls and ceilings keeping me at bay. Keeping me from realizing what it is I’ve wanted to do. I now have an urge to explore.
I had thought that this was all a myth. An old wives’ tale passed down from generation to generation. I am happy that our king is dead. It has been said that he died fighting for our people, but I know the know the truth. I can feel it in my gut. All he did in his reign was impede my realization of self discovery.
Now, here I am. Chosen as one of the many to journey to the mines. Chosen to collect these crystals and to bring life back to the city. Now that I have seen the outside world, I do not care whether my home lives or dies."
BAERN’S JOURNAL: ENTRY 2
“Word has been passed that the new king is looking for an alternate way to power the city. A permanent solution to the problem we face. I fear that without a reason to journey to the surface the new king will lock us in just as the old one did. I cannot have this.
I have tried to convince my brother to leave with me while we still have the chance, but he refuses. He is weaker than I had thought. He is all talk, and I refuse to be stuck at the same level as he. He and my parents wish for me to stay, so I will humor them for now. They have no idea that I feel nothing for them anymore. Not with the rest of the world waiting for me."
BAERN’S JOURNAL: ENTRY 3
“I have seen the company that the new king travels with. They are the most powerful group of men that I have ever seen. Especially the human: the one called Rorak. He seems to understand strength and it’s necessity in this world. I must prove myself to him.
It is with these men that I have decided to pledge my allegiance. They are my ticket to adventure, and glory, and most importantly, a reason to live."
BAERN’S JOURNAL: ENTRY 4
“Griffin’s a huge nerd. These are my glasses now. Totally my glasses.”
MORE WILL COME SOON ENOUGH AND THIS WILL BE EDITED BUT I AM TIRED
